Christmas Eve 2007

Christmas Eve came so quickly, especially since the first day of the girls' vacation was Dec. 22! Unfortunately, Gracie came down with some sort of flu, having a fever and feeling quite miserable. She was a trooper and still wanted to get all dressed up in her Christmas dress that her Nana bought for her.

We went over to Carey's Grandma Cathy's house for dinner and LOTS of presents. Most of the time, Grace laid down on Grandma Cathy's bed, poor thing felt so terrible. Sarah and Mia had a lot of fun and all three girls received so many wonderful presents! Santa Mark came by on his usual Christmas Eve visit and gave the girls some goodies. This year, Sarah was suspicious, and later thought it was Grandpa Mark because he was the only person who wasn't in the room when Santa was there. She's always thinking, that girl!

She's is so photogenic and I just love these pictures of her!

Kindergarten Party

Today was the girls' last day of school before Christmas vacation. They were early birds today, starting at 8:00am. It was pajama day in Kindergarten today, and the girls were quite excited to wear their new jammies to school. They also had a gift exchange, where they received a new book! They had a lot of fun and are very excited to be on vacation!!

Photo Shoot at the Arboretum

Today we went to the Fullerton Arboretum to do a photo shoot for our Christmas card picture. We brought my mom with us to play professional photographer. Turns out it's pretty hard to get a great picture with everyone looking and smiling at the right time. Here are some of my favorites:

Last Day of Dance Class

Today was the last day of this session of the girls' dance class with Miss Tina. They showed us all of the ballet and tap moves they learned, and did a lot of great posing for my pictures. They were super cute and excited!

Trimming the Tree

Santa Visit

Today, we went on our annual visit to see Santa Claus at the South Coast Plaza. We love going to the South Coast Plaza because you can bring your own camera and take your own pictures for $6. What a deal! The girls were very excited to see the man of the month. Mia had no idea who he was or what the heck she was doing sitting on his lap, hence the look of "This is so not fun!" Two smiles out of three isn't bad, right?

Dance Recital

Every December, Miss Tina's dance class has a Christmas dance recital. The girls had been practicing in their weekly dance class and were very excited to get all dressed up with their hair all curled and pretty. They did a great job, with lots of smiles! We were so proud of them!

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Performance

Today, the girls had a Thanksgiving performance at school. As a home project, they had to create a vest and on the vest they had to tell a story using Indian (or should I be PC and say Native American) symbols. They had a lot of fun making their vests, and were to wear the vests during the performance. Carey had the day off, so he went to their school to help with their feast, then I joined him for the performance. They sang some Thanksgiving songs and chanted a poem. They were super cute and I enjoyed every second of the performance!

Tigers!

Today was the last soccer game for the girls. They were on a U6 Clinic team in the JUSA organization. Our team was no good, not winning one game, but the girls seemed to have a good time, learned about the sport, and made some new friends. Carey and I made some new friends with the parents on the team, friends that we know we will keep in touch with.
